Units & Services

Because we believe that mental health is an essential element of wellness, and that within each individual lies potential abilities and positive qualities that the individual can invest to achieve better mental health. Our services have been designed and tailored to the needs of each individual and group, within the following units:

Psychological support and counselling unit:

This unit is considered to be one of the primary sources of support for people who suffer from trauma related symptoms, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in an atmosphere of acceptance and equality. This unit assists individuals in learning about and expressing themselves, in order to achieve psychological compatibility with the external environment. This unit also takes responsibility for following up with cases inside and outside the organization, in cooperation with local organizations.

The services provided within this unit are:

  • Counselling and individual psychotherapy for children and adults
  • Psychosocial support groups for children and adults
  • Family therapy
  • Marital counseling

Training and capacity-building unit:

This unit uses the systematic capacity building to enhance the counselling and therapeutic skills of people working in the field of mental health, through educational and practical programs, in cooperation with local and international partners. In addition to practical training for students of local and international universities in the fields of social science, psychology, and other fields related to mental health.

Awareness and education unit:

This unit focuses on increasing individual awareness about psychological trauma in particular, mental disorders and psychosocial problems in general, and their impact on the individual and the society.  These services help in early detection of problems and mental disorders resulting from the traumatic events, and allows for early intervention. This unit also includes lectures for school students on several topics of interest to this age group: time management, exam anxiety, adolescence, sex education, and other topics. In addition, holding awareness meetings in the field of mental health for parents, teachers, university students, children’s centers, and for women’s institutions, etc.
